Description

Egri Csillag is a historical heritage forms a centra part of the Hungarian Culture, just like as most other nations. Bulls Blood  (Bikaver) became a Hungaricum over the years. Based on that success, winemakers decided to create the white wine equivalent of Bulls Blood. This is how Egri Csillag (Star of Eger) cuvee was created. This has also seen great popularity in the Eger wine region & amongst Hungarian wine fans.

Using local varieties such as Tramini, Zenit, Kiralyleanyka & Sauvignon Blanc, Thummerer Egri Csillag leads with intense floral fragrances. It shines through the glass with a greenish clear glow.

The light green color comes with an intense flowery fragrance. This makes this dry white wine even more unique. The fruity aromas are brought by Tramini and Zenit. Whilst Királyleányka with Sauvignon Blanc add acidity nicely. It is complex, rich and well balanced with pleasant acidity & wonderful fragrances.

Thummerer Egri Csillag is made with reductive methods, in order to preserve its freshness & fragrances. Recommended to accompany fish- or poultry-based dishes, with light salads, cooled to 8-10°C.
