Kadarka is a very classic and unique Hungarian variety especially of the Szekszard wine region.
A beautiful, traditional wine from the old vineyards of Kisbödő of Szekszárd. Over 40 years old vines are highly regarded and carefully cultivated using mainly manual cultivation practices. The grapes are always hand selected.
Duzsi Tamas Kadarka is traditionally fermented in wooden barrels, then also matured in wooden barrels. It’s lifespan is therefore significantly longer as opposed to reductive wines.
A wonderful example of Kadarka from Szekszard and a prefect representative of the regions’ notes. A classic favourite from the Szekszard wine region!
Duzsi Tamas Kadarka showcases Pomme de granate in colour. It’s bouquet features fruity aromas of black cherries, black berries, and notes of spiciness and fresh tobacco. Racy and spicy on the palate, making it an optimal choice for game and venison dishes, and heavier autumny stews.

Fantastic Kadarka! I have tasted a fairly wide range of Kadarkas recently, from many different wineries, and this one has definitely hit the spot! Well balanced, unique character and a great example of this classic Hungarian variety.
