Markvart Bikavér is an excellent, fruity Bulls Blood showcasing cherries, blackberries and spice against the backdrop of milk chocolate and velvety tannins.
Markvart Bikaver is a medium-full bodied, dry red cuveé from the Szekszard wine region. It’s a blend of Kékfrankos (Blaufrankische) as the base wine, then Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Kadarka.
Bulls Blood – although the legend reaches back to historic times – these days represents truly exquisite red cuvees in the two regions it is made: Eger & Szekszard, with highly regulated quality assurance markers.
The style of this dry red is traditional, with layers of cherries and blackberries over a structured palate with herbaceous hints and milk chocolate tannins.
Markvart Bulls Blood is recommended besides Braised beef, Porcini mushroom risotto, game dishes, or sirloin steak and truffle chips.
