The origins of wine making at Babits Family reaches back all the way to Hungarian King IV. Béla (1235–1270). That’s when their ancestors have started to make wine in the Tokaj wine region. From that point, this family tradition has been passed down from generations to generations. Currently they cultivate on a 22 Ha area around Tolcsva & Szegi areas of the Tokaj Mountain. The vineyards that they own are classed premium quality. Their Tokaji wines are highly recognised on both National and International wine competitions.
