Description

100% Furmint, dry & deliciously fruity white, from a single vineyard, called Thurzo, in the Tokaj wine region. This vineyard is also known by locals as the “honey pot” vineyard, as it is situated on a particularly spot of the region, resulting in fuller, richer style of wines.

Wines from the Peter winery are very telling of the terroir, and the winery showcases a style that’s unique to the microclimate around Tarcal and Tokaj wine region. The result is a wide range of highly characterful wines.

This Furmint combines lively acidity of orange peel and fresh lemon, while also round and complex with notes of peaches, baked apple pie, vanilla and spice. A touch of oak notes also adds softness and a long finish to this wine.

Food pairing tips: Pulled pork BBQ bun, oysters, chicken stew, vegetable biryani, soy-based stir fries, or salmon.
