The Managing Director of Pannon Tokaj Winery has named the wine after his grandchild who owns the same name.Bor means wine in Hungarian language, that’s why the wordplay “zsomBor”
zsomBor has straw yellow color with a pronounced nose showing green apple, strong quince and apricot at the end. Raspberries, blackberries, greengage plums, apricots, melon, grapefruit, mango on the palate. Bright and elegant acids with a long full finish. Decay of roasted vanilla can be found thanks for the Hungarian oak barrels where the wine spent 3,5 months. Bottled in March 2012, giving 3 months time for the bottle bouquet.
Drink now or keep it for 5-6 years. We recommend to any kind of cheeses, salads, fish dishes, well seasoned white meats on 10°C. With a fine cigar – after meal – is a great fun.
